Remington College - Tampa

Major: Design Arts - Industrial Design/Graphic Design/etc (This Major's Salary over time)
This college was a joke to get into. Somehow they got my information and called me at home and requested an appointment. I think it was because I requested information on other Art Schools. They drove two hours to my home to "pitch" me. I was pretty broken then (due to having my son in high school) and I just went with it instead of applying to any other college. Overall, this college did not FEEL like a college. I regret attending here and wish I had gone to a major university or Ringling, Savannah or a major art institution instead.

As far as the education goes, I had some (not all) pretty talented teachers when I was there. They were the only positive to my experience there. My artist skills improved by leaps and bounds. I learned a valuable lesson while enrolled. When my father died during my third quarter I was depressed and found I couldn't perform artistically while I was upset. I left Tampa Technical Institute and changed careers to computer related. I didn't realize at the time that this school wasn't accredited regionally. An interesting note: I have had three classes transfer into my B.S. degree at another Florida College. I am currently working on my M.S. so some credits may transfer if it is a state school. Worth a try anyway.
