What my parents gave to me in character, Temple/Philly gave to me in soul. I came to Temple University for its price and its location - but I left with so much more. The only people who find a connection with Temple are the people who live there. Commuters never feel like they are doing anymore more than working a job when they come to school. Temple does not coddle its students, and there is a chance to feel like a number, but those who choose to get themselves involved in their school and community will get the most rewarding experience, like I did. I did not like Temple for my first year and a half, and then I was selected to be a Resident Assistant, the people I found there became my closest and best friends, and the experiences I've had with them and the Res. Life Dept. have become something I wouldn't trade for any other University in the world. My advice is this, you will get what you put into your time at Temple. One way or another, it will help you grow up.
