Major: Philosophy (This Major's Salary over time)
This school is great for ski bums who want a four year ski vacation. If you don't ski you either need to learn (as I did) or forget about having any friends, because everyone is here for the skiing. The quality of education is very low, although I had 2 good professors in my 2 years there. If you're looking at plymouth state you probably aren't interested in a top-notch educational experience anyway.I found the people there to be very boring. Either underachieving or just not very smart New Hampshirites who went to college because it was the next logical step, or out of state kids (mostly connecticut, mass, new jersey) looking for some good skiing. People get way too drunk, because there's symply nothing else to do in plymouth, new hampshire, and some weekends I'd see a fight or two break out. The town is not only boring, but the residents absolutely hate the students, and the police have the place on lock-down (esp. during spring fling). Everyone I knew had gotten arrested for alcohol charges, and we weren't bad kids at all - just the causal drinking that goes on at every school in this country. This may sound surprising, but I wouldn't give back having gone here for anything, and I'm not bitter about the experience at all. But thats because of reasons specific to my own life, and hasn't stopped me from honestly evaluating the school.
