Major: Engineering Department (This Major's Salary over time)
This school definitely does not have the party reputation it used to, the course work is pretty challenging. The students here are generally friendly, however, there is a lot of money and the students tend to be standoffish and cocky at times - yet at the same time there is a lot of school spirit and pride in this institution. There is always plenty to do, literally thousands of activities and groups to be involved in. Michigan State also has a profound world reputation as the majority of the students participate is the Study Abroad program; you can choose to go to Antarctica to Argentina and everywhere in between. The campus is huge of course, if you like the big-city feel, this campus is for you. Be prepared to meet people from all over the country, and be open to new ideas. Transitioning from a suburb of Detroit to one of the most liberal colleges in America was a huge change, but it defiantly has its positive effects.
