This school is not what the PR people in admissions may convince you of. They may be friendly and make the admission process go smoothly, but Admissions alas does not make the school. It may seem like a good value for your money in the short term, but make sure you visit the school and sit in on classes before you go here- AND ASK LOTS OF questions of different people - don't just take people's word for things. My worst experience has been with student housing - wouldn't live on campus again if they paid me! I would strongly caution against living in a residence hall. There are plenty of apts near the school. Faculty are a 50-50 split btwn standoffish and warm and friendly. They are one of the best parts of Idaho, but academically the school is very disappointing and leaves much to be desired in the way of rigor. Students in the Greek system have seemed the most friendly, but otherwise people seem very self-absorbed, kind of cold and distant. There are always exceptions though. The winter weather is kind of intense so be prepared if you're not used to Idaho weather.
