Okay, here is a neat and tighty summation of the school in a list of pros and cons:

PROS

  • great friends, when you can find people who aren't fake as hell
  • faculty…most of the time
  • location, even though the school is in a bad area, you've got the UPASS, which means you can get to where you need to go for fun or resources and it's paid for by tuition (you might as well take the UPASS because they take the money for it out of your tuition anyway)
  • the portfolio center
  • CONS

  • acceptance rate - you'd have to be a pretty colossal sized moron to not get in here with the 100% acceptance rate
  • the curriculam - the work here is…um…yeah, I finished my Human Sexuality Seminar midterm in a half hour and still got an A on it. If you like senseless busy work that will most likely never be of use to you later on in life, go ahead and throw away your $30K plus.
  • faculty availability
  • the student body - they are mostly robots who segregate themselves, get wasted out of their minds, complain about the low level work, and act stupid.
  • politics - the school prides itself on being a liberal environment, but I would suggest applying elsewhere if this is a big factor for you. I've witnessed so much racism, along with homophobia pointed towards myself and my other gay and lesbian friends, that it makes me miss high school.
  • residence life - the office is full of idiots who are discriminatory and all of the housing, except the UCC, are crap.
  • student financial services are NONEXISTANT
