Major: Math (This Major's Salary over time)
I had already obtained my BA and MA before coming to this institution to pursue my PhD. Coming from NYC, I was pleasantly surprised to learn that Houston is the 4th largest city in the US. There is a lot to do, but the public transportation system is poor, so a car is almost a necessity. The campus, however, is beautiful, with oak trees overhanging walkways and streets and squirrels in abundance. The student body is small also, which leads to more personal attention in class.
