Every review is going to be bias, but I'll try to make mine as objective as possible. I came from a decently wealthy town in the northeast. I went to public school, which was ranked fairly high and was pretty social in my high school of about 1000. I'm merely posting this review because I wish someone had given me some advice before coming to Case and a bit more info.

To start, there are basically three types of people that come here. Most people are from Ohio and the majority of people are here not because it was their top choice, but becaause Case gave a ton of money, which was my case.

There are normal people, which constitute about 10-15%, and by normal, I just mean open-minded, easy to get along, not super cocky, diverse and not exactly ignorant. I would consider myself a normal person here, and because of this, I have hated the social aspect of Case from day 1. This does not mean you drink, do drugs or whatnot, but you either have or havent but are mature about it either way.

Then there are just people who have been sheltered and they come to Case, have the opportunity to drink and soon take on a very 8th grade personality towards alchol, one of

wow man, alcohol is soo cool!
i am not talking about the frat boys, I'm talking about just ridiculously immature kids who have never had a sip of beer before.

There are then the stereotypical Case kids who just spend their time masturbating and playing video games all the time. Not annoying but a large number of them.

The guy/girl ratio sucks as anyone knows. Girls here are below average in terms of looks, and you wil develope Case goggles, in which your standards lower overtime and you see more hot girls each day. Girls here often think their hot shit as they are always surrounded by a million dudes who bow down, when in reality, most of the hot girls would be sub par at any other school. (theres a facebook group for the 25 hottest girls, look if you dare!) This aspect alone makes it impossible to get a girlfreind let along any play.

Sports here suck, don't come here if your really talented as you will only develop a massive ego at a D3 school. Most varsity athletes here, like the football players, think their hot shit, when in reality they were probably on the JV bench in high school, go figure?

The education here is great, and that along with the money is the only thing keeping me at this school. The social life sucks. The fact that everyone here is pretty much a BME major or engineern of some sort adds little to diversity and this place desperatley needs to have more liberal arts students.

In short, basically if your a fairly social person, and enjoying being around a lot of open minded and fun people, I'd keep looking unless they gave you a pile of money. If you are fairly anti social, sheltered, likes to study and work hard, Case may be for you. I am by no means a total goof off who jsut likes to party, but there should definiltye be a balance between work and play, which this school does not offer (unless your an immature sheltered kid)
