beign that i tranfered from two colleges before i finally settled here, i want to day that a lot of famu's issues are the same everywhere. there are going to be students who aern't about learning, who are close-minded and come to school to party..trust me, it was the same thing when my girl was at STANFORD. now, the fin. aid is a hbcu thing and it is bad, but outside of that, the school is building knew building all the time, seems like most buildings except dorms are fairly knew, and they have good programs. the problem is not the programs, the problem is FAMU is not IVY LEAGUE, so, if its not exceptionally hard to get into, you will ahve students who didnt do their work in high school messin around in school…but it is a good school overall, the hbcu experience is one of a kind.
