Be warned, the social scene here blows. Also, as someone already mentioned, you'll end up seeing the same people everyday for four years. Oh man, let me tell ya how awful that is. It sucks so bad, you'll end up wishing you just dropped out of high school and went to work in a coal mine. Anyway, academics are alright…a lot of professors are full of themselves, but there are some nice ones here and there. Don't expect school spirit of any kind…sports are definitely not important here and it shows since nobody attends games. Swarthmore, PA is boring as shit and getting into the city doesn't happen very often. The campus is not nearly as beautiful as the college guides say. It's ok but not stellar. The party scene at Swarthmore…I really don't wanna bash it too much, but it's hard to stop myself from doing so. Straight up, it flat out sucks. Every party is either at this place called Paces (which is small and a lousy excuse for a party venue) or one of the frat houses. Oh yeah, the two frats here are pretty pathetic. Girls, they ain't hot that's for sure and they ain't cool either. Hot people don't really exist here except for about 10 people. There are a lot of people who walk around like they're hot and desperately want to believe that their looks are comparable to those of people that go to ,say, UGA or Ole Miss, but it's really obvious they aren't hot at all and that they're trying way too hard to give off that impression. Anyway, don't come here looking for a traditional college experience. People here pride themselves on being quirky, which really translates into a tiny school full of people with dirty hair and teeth and severely lacking in social graces.
