Sarah Lawrence was an incredibly supportive, creative institution while I attended. Professors were engaged and available, students were curious and worked hard—but never for just a grade. Questions were always encouraged. The school demands a high level of self-motivation and students who need lots of prodding to complete or initiate work—as opposed to intellectual support and encouragement—might want to think twice.
