I'm about to begin the second semester of my freshman year. I really am uhappy at Sam. I feel that the Student body is not particuarly welcoming to people who are different as far a sexual orientation and race. I've had some pretty offensive things said to me. My first year I haven't had a car, so besides taking Greyhound to Houston, there is very little to do when you have no car. The cafeteria staff at Belvin have been very offensive to me making comments about my sexual orientation and calling me "dyke" and what-not. I have met about 7 nice people in the ESC. But as far as reguarly chilling and hanging out with them, I really don't hang out with anyone. Also, except for the occaisonal sporting event there is NOTHING to do on weekends. Many students who have cars go home on weekends, so most of the time I'm pretty much at school alone. Even my roomate leaves. Hopefully I will be able to get enough financial aid to transfer to Austin where I went to boarding school earlier
