I never realized the quality of education received until several years after graduation. True my friends at State and Technical Schools profitted more tangibly right after graduation because they were more marketable at first. They also did not enjoy monster student loans. But like many strong liberal arts colleges, Hobart, and some outstanding Profs instilled a life long love of learning. Learning for learning's sake and not for profit. Its not just a love of learning it is a love of thinking…thinking things through and analzing a problem from several different perspectives. While not all experiences were positive, paticularly with the high influence of frat life, the Colleges have made an outstanding effort in improving the physical facilties from what I have seen. While I may have regretted attending immediately after graduation, looking back I believe my experience there had a profound long term impact on my personal and professional growth as an adult several years later.
