I have been reading these blogs about dissatisfied Mohoos bashing our ( o wait…their) school for its failure to produce socal situations. also many commented on the stereotypical female (or male) that goes here…that being lesbiens, butch etc. well I am a straight girl that loves partying, i am in no way a stereotypical mt holyoke student, but i am accepted with open arms by everyone there. I find it an environment with a lot of emotional support that would be harder to find at a co-ed school. with such a small atmosphere, you get to know your fellow mohos quite well. You get to know those in every group…partiers…girls/boys who stay on campus etc. a lot of people complain about the social situation, well you chose to go to the school, and youc an choose to go out. if you did not notie, there is a university with tens of thousands of guys right down the street, and also amhest college…and a bus that provides trasnportation there. I find somethign to do every night, I ahve a bunch of guy friends at both schools and the lack of a social life does not even exist. so stop complaning, get your crap together, and go meet people. who cares if amherst girl give you a dirty looks, give them back. Kil them with your niceness. dotn let some stucky girls ruin your social life…same thing you woudl find at co-ed schools, appreciate the fact you dont go to school w. people like this. I have a quote that sums up perfectly this situation

and its true, with no competition to fight over it leaves an environment in which veryone gets along well. you wanan know about our reputation? were mohos, we make men respect us, we are intelligent, we work hard, and we play harder.
