I think the greatest thing about this school are the academics. The proffessors are really smart and very helpful. You don't ever need to worry about not getting enough help because the faculty are always there to assist you. Every teacher I've had so far has a passion for what they do and they seem very smart and qualified. Tutors are also very easy to find. Go to this school if you want to do well in academics and academics only.

The social life couldn't be worse. No one really attends any of the sporting events because, well, we're D3 and aren't good at any of them except handball. One thing to realize is that there is no off campus housing. This means that there are limited house parties. Even the frats don't have off campus housing. So if you want to party, that means setting up a beer pong table in your dorm room and hoping not to get caught by security. The only chance that you have to have a social life is by joining a frat and doing their activities.

The social life sucks mainly due to the lack of a college town. The town of Lake Forest is this really upscale, snooty, pretentious town for millionaires. Sure, its fun to look at their mansions but the town is a good 15 minute walk away and the only useful store is Walgreens. The only fast food restaurant they have is Subway. It's full of Range Rovers, Mercedes, and BMWs'. And yes, they claim that the college is

Right Outside of Chicago

That is the biggest load of bull. You have to walk 15 minutes to the train station, then take a one hour long train ride to downtown Chicago.

If you go to Lake Forest you will be happy with the academics, probably surprised about how good they are, however, this is not the regular state school experience. You want the big parties? You want a town that has more to it than a Walgreens? Go somewhere else.
