Major: Communications (This Major's Salary over time)
ORU is a place to find great Christians who love life, and want to change the world. It has been quite refreshing to meet people with the same goals. And my department of Communications has been both motivating and disappointing. It is motivating in the sense that the other students are ambitious and excited about their careers. However, some professors have disappointed me because they fail to teach, instead they have the students teach by doing group projects and presentations for the entire semester. Yes, both of those are important, but I assume the professors know a whole lot more than the students-I expect them to teach! Then again, there are those professors that live for their students' success, and I appreciate that more than anything. ORU is wonderful, full of fun and great people with amazing faculty. Sure, there are some downfalls, but I think you will find that any where. ORU can be whatever you make it to be. It's your choice to make the most of it.
