Widener is what you make of it. If you don't get involved on campus then you will be bored and say the campus is boring and that there is nothing to do. I recommend getting involved in as many things as you can. The surrounding city I will agree is not safe. Philadelphia is not to far away if you have a car and deleware county baltimore pike has lots of resturants and a few ok malls whci his only about 15 minutes away. As far as education I felt it was a hit or miss with some of the teachers. Some of the teachers were incredible and some of the were horrible. First semester you don't have much of a choice with which professors you get but from there on out ask older studentds so you can avoid the arrogant uneducated teachers. I would def go back to this school classes are small and the students are friendly.
