I came to this college expecting to get into the Photography department at the 200 level but after getting onto campus and speaking with the only photography teacher I was told to wait a semester and enroll into the intro class. Thus I did, and when registration came for the second semester, I was not allowed into the intro class because it was "full" even though she said she placed me on the waiting list. The college does not offer a darkroom to students who were not enrolled in the photography classes, thus even if you own a lot of equipment and know a fair ammount about it, you are out of luck.

My largest complaint is that there is little to do socially outside of drinking. At first it does not seem to be an issue, who does not enjoy having a few beers at a party, but after some time it just ends up becoming the same routine. Even if you bring a car onto campus there is little Wooster has to offer itself but one could drive 30 to 50 minuets and go to Akron or Cleveland. Because of the small campus, it might be very hard to find like minded people, but not impossible.

As a last note, to students concidering living in one of the First Year houses, unless you enjoy living in a very closed off community of 30 to 60 people and having most of them contiune on as a hordish brood, it is not recomened. Living in a house is by all means better then the dorm life, but with the house you also have to work much harder at integrating in with the college community.

I have not enjoyed my stay at the College of Wooster before or after joining the division three swimming team.
