Major: English (This Major's Salary over time)
UMUC (not to be confused with College Park) is for "careerists". It's for people who need a degree to help them move up the food chain at work. There isn't much emphasis on critical thinking skills, philosophy, literature, art, etc. That's the first problem.The second problem is the administrators, and many of the instructors, have "status anxiety." Therefore, the best way to defeat them is too mock them and where they are in life at UMUC.
