I was a theatre major at CSU when it pretended to have a graduate program with only three professors. I started working in the Office of Cultural Programs as a stagehand and film projectionist, basically jettisoning the academic department which had declared me virtually persona non grata. I continued working in the Student Center as a non-student hourly until two graduate student positions were cancelled to fund a professional staff position which I held from 1975-1981 when I came to NYC for show business.

During my non-student years in Ft. Collins I became heavily involved in the IATSE Stagehands Local #229 and was on the original Board of Directors of OpenStage Theatre which still exists more than twenty-five years later.

My education literally occurred within the Student Center working for every show, movie, concert, convention that went through that facility, including concerts at Moby Gym and Hughes Stadium, conventions in Moby Gym…not to mention the myriad of arts shows and every other form of cultural activity at the University and downtwon. My academic career was pretty much a joke but CSU which, at that time, was the PREMIER arts importing agency in the state of Colorado, was absolutely responsible for everything I have become in my life. Ft. Collins as a hometown allowed me to blossom in all my creative endeavors.

I am now an electrical contractor, lighting designer, sculptor of found objects and a complete New Yorker. I was blessed to have spent fourteen years in Ft. Collins in and around the University and there is no doubt that it has been the fount of so much of my energy and outlook.
