UMB is not an ideal place for 5 years of gaduate school. Programs in the life sciences are not highly ranked and for good reason. The institution lacks high quality faculty and as a result a graduate education at the institution is mediocre. The faculty are not friendly, engaging, or helpful. The graduate environment is not very conducive to intellectual stimulation. The university is dull and lacks true scholarship. If you wish to be part of a fun and exciting graduate program do not attend this school. You will be disappointed.
