Date: Apr 14 2006 Major: Architecture (This Major's Salary over time) Attending Lehigh has definately helped me in my career. The name alone has garnered me respect from peers. I would say this is the most valuable asset one gets from attending Lehigh. I have been told on two seperat occasions that the reason i was hired (at two seperate companies) was the fact that Lehigh was on my resume. However, for an african american male, the "college experience" was not what i would call ideal. For 4 years i never felt comforatble on campus. Most of the student body is rich, white, elitist. Completely opposite of the people i grew up with and around. (and i went to a middle class white HS)I would not say i hated my college experience, because i did enjoy being part of the football team, but i wouldn't say i enjoyed it either. If one were to ask me if i would send my son there, i would have to say no. Although in retrospect it did accomplish what i wanted it to. (As you can see i am torn)But i would think that there is a school that someone like me could get the enjoyable campus life and the prestige in a name like Lehigh.
