Good school, great faculty, but not very diverse…if you know this before starting you should be OK. Oh, and you'll need a car, or a friend with a car…unless you like that isolated from the rest of the world feeling. Try to get an apartment off campus to help you feel more connected to the rest of the world and don't be intimidated by all the Hummers, BMVs, and SUVs you see parked on the streets—these belong to the undergrads and their parents. Grad students you'll meet will tend to be as broke as you and they'll drive the beat-up looking '96 Civic…just like you.
