If you are going into Christian ministry, Moody is the place for you. If you're not interested in Christian work, don't bother. Most of the negative comments you see on here are from people who came to Moody just seeking a degree, with no real passion or commitment to any sort of ministry. These types of people just end up being frustrated and never really get what they come for.If you do want to go into ministry, however, Moody will equip you. They will give you the biblical knowledge, the relational skills, and the practical experience. You will make an excellent network of contacts that will help you throughout your future in ministry. Nowhere else will you ever find so many like-minded people that you can build relationships with and work together with towards your common goal. There are certainly negatives. The "bubble" is difficult to avoid—getting completely consumed with all things Moody and being unable to really get in touch with the "outside" world. But part of this is just the stage of life. Don't worry so much about getting "out" just yet. Take the opportunity to truly dig into the word and foster relationships with your fellow students. If you spend your whole time at Moody looking out, you will look back after graduation and wish you had taken advantage of more of the great opportunities for personal growth and social networking with your professors and fellow students.
