Major: Economics (This Major's Salary over time)
I came to LMU becuase my cousin went here and liked it. I am an Economics Major and hate it. The department is horrible and they don't make it known that the department is in the Liberal Arts College, instead of the Business College, which is ridiculous. The school is full of lies and looks good from the outside, with their new dorms and buildings. LMU cares alot about diversity, even if it is degrading for it's students. I have had classes where 1/3 of the class cannot speak english or write an essay, however they were accepted. The teachers grade them easier and the school has become a commuter school. On your visit this is not somthing that you will see. The school does not take care of its students, which is ironic because we are paying $40,000 to go here. LMU hypes up the Lion express, or free transportation system LMU offers, however this is another example of LMU's methods for impressing and manipulating its applicants. The Lion Express is a joke and completly unreliable. LMU is its own bubble, the school locks the back gate at night to the outside community becuase they want to "improve their relationship with the surrounding community". In otherwords, they make it hard to get off campus and socialize. The Greek system is also a joke, there are no frat/sorority houses. While it may seem like this is overexaggerated, it is not. My brother applied here and got declined. The school has no legacy system and does not help family members get it. You would think $40,000 a year would give the school some sort of insentive to help your family out, however at LMU they do not. The school's academics also do not match its reputation. For a school that is not even ranked in the nation their academics are harder than they should be. Its effects can be seen with the amount of kids that are accepted as transfer students to other schools. Transfer acceptance rates from LMU are very small. This school has not only been a waste of my $40,000, but my experience here with the arrogant students and poor schooling has made me do somthing that I never thought I would do. I am leaving the school as of next year, it is that bad. I made a promise to myself to inform all the kids at my old highschool, and anyone that asks of the truth about LMU and its lies. Do not go here.

commentI find it a bit funny that you complain about people who can't speak English or write well while you spell a lot alot. You WERE obviously cheated by the school.
