I just finished my second year at Denison and I LOVE IT!!! I can't believe I'm half-way through!!! My teachers have been the greatest, my friends rock, and I love Ultimate Frisbee! I don't know how Denison got the reputation as a preppy, conservative place. Not so! There are lots of different kinds of kids here and they are NOT all preppy or conservative (thank goodness). The campus is so beautiful right now - I wish you could see it. It's pretty all year, but this is ridiculous. Flowers everywhere - it even smells sweet. My courses are hard enough, I have to work; I must confess I thought the work would be easier as I came from a very challenging high school.I chose Denison over Bucknell, Colgate, U Chicago and OSU and I sure am glad I did. I can't imagine what my college years would have been like if I hadn't come here. (Maybe OK but I'd miss these friends!)The dorms are OK, not too bad, not too good. I am looking forward to the apartments though. I can get in there as a senior. The food is bad, but there are lots of kitchens in the dorms if you'd rather cook (but you still have to pay for a plan). The partying here is about the same as all schools I guess. (Compared to my friends at other schools). Sometimes it's bad, but there are lots of other things to do both on campus and in Columbus (if you are lucky enough to have a car). I live in a really friendly dorm and we just hang out a lot.I am going to do an internship on campus for 6 weeks this summer, but it is a little hard to think of being here without EVERYONE. If you are looking for a great 4 years, a great education, maybe even a good scholarship - I recommend you give Denison a look-see. Come visit! You'll want to stay.
