Being at SLU throughout these years I've learned some things both academically and socially. In terms of academics the quality of the program isn't too bad. I learned a lot, and getting a job in the area doens't seem to be a problem. My problem is that there were some professors you couldn't understand at all. The student body can be very stuck up. There's a lot of students that come from private schools in the St. Louis area, SLUH, CBC, and Desmet to name a few. These students try to flaunt what wealth their parents have. I'd also like to note that financial aid at this school is awful. How they got onto USnews best values, I will not understand. Do bring a bullet proof vest if you head a mile or so out of the campus. The campus doesn't look nearly as great as it appears on the internet. Make sure you visit the school first before you decide to come, things are different here versuses how they appear on the internet.Overall I can say the academics were good and employment seems fine. However, the school is expensive and there is a lot of stuck up students. The city of St. Louis isn't bad, but the area SLU is in isn't that great. SLU is a short distance from WashU, forest park, the loop, and the hill so plenty to do for fun. If I had to do it all over again, I wouldn't attend this school.
