let me tell you my back ground. I am from East coast actually living in NJ which is 20 minutes away from NYC. I honestly did not know much about this school before I attended. I honestly think that this school is very boring. Party at ND sucks because u have to party in small rooms packed with so many people. There are several good bars around town, but you will have to wait until you turn 21. ESPN ranked South Bend which is the town that surrounds campus as the second worst college town. The biggest turn off is that this school tends to drive people to become whom this school wants to be. There are priests walking on campus. I feel like I am in boring catholic church sanctuary. this school gives no room for individuality. However, There is sense of unity within a school community because of football team and self contained enviroment. Even though, Notre Dame does not give room for individuality, people who graduate from here will get positive views from employers and colleagues. many employers of Domer graduates feel very satisfied. However, this positive results after graduation tend to drive students to become arrogant. many students at ND think that they will control the world with degree from ND. You have to think that many ND graduates will compete with prestigous ivy league graduates and many smart graduates from state school; I know tons of people with good SAT scores and good high school records who decided to attend state schools. If you want to come to ND and go ahead!! But, if you have other choices, I will not stop you.
