social scene is what you make of it. if you want to go out 5 nights a week, the people and places are there (although it gets a bit repetative in that youll experience the same group of people and venues). the majority of people do not go out (70%) but those that do are regularly on the scene. greek life is big, but the university has largly sterilized fraternity life (made them into greek lettered dorms). school spirit is non-existant; most people are considerably more attached to their fraternity or social circle: few care about the university itself. lack of sports sucks; and administration goes out of its way to stop on campus drinking/partying. atlanta has great weather and fun, well developed night life. northeastern culture (long island) is prevelant among those who socialize, and this can get quite obnoxious. bmw 3 series seems to be the "standard issue" college-brat-mobile. academically, top ranked and rightfully so: knowledgeble professors who are well reputed in the field are accesible and motivated. goodluck highschooler.
