Major: Art & Design Department (This Major's Salary over time)
I attended Parson's School of Design originally and transferred to NJCU because it was closer to home. What a great decision! The profs actually have time and make time to work with students outside of class; are actually available and interested in mentoring. They inform and encourage students to take advantage of experience opportunities. The Art & Design Association (a club) is a great group of really smart motivated students who are interested in furthering themselves as artists. NJCU has a close-knit family feel that wasn't present or available at Parson's. I highly suggest looking into it if you are looking for a really good art education and are interested in being 2 miles from NYC. It's a great experience and the price is a quarter of the high end art schools in the city!
