Major: Education (This Major's Salary over time)
The department of education pays no attention to the current demand for teachers. I'm still looking for a job, and from what I've heard, most school districts are down-sizing due to lowered enrollment. There is no need for teachers, so they should stop admitting so many students into their teacher program. Oh yeah, and don't enter the ITEP program if you want to start in the higher pay bracker if/when you actually get a job. My advice is to get a BA and then get your credential and then get a job. It takes longer, but you'll have more units and therefore a higher salary. Just don't get your masters before you get a job because districts don't want to have to pay you so much right from the beginning.
