Being an education major I have many resources here at Bennington. There is an early childhood center right on campus and many opportunities in town, which is very close to campus, for working with older kids. I am also planning to stay for 5 years to take advantage of the masters program in education. Academically I could not be happier. I can pursue so many interests and avenues and feel very supported in that by the administration. I feel like I am getting a very well rounded, complex education that might not be possible if there were all the usual required classes at another school. The college is small and that definitely has it's good and bad points. I really like the supportive, friendly atmosphere. I like knowing so many people. I can walk in to the dining commons, the library, or just out to the common lawn and know that I will always have a friend there. I'm not sure how I will feel by the end of my time here. I can imagine that it will feel small and overly familiar. People tend to go abroad to get off campus, though field work term helps with that too. Also, there is always that influx of about 200 new people every Fall! In general, the school is great.
