Come to William and Mary if you like a laid-back social scene and a fairly quiet campus. There is alway something to do, but, to be honest, you often have to search for it. The campus is beautiful in the spring, and if you like nature walks, canoeing, or just hanging out outside in the grass and sun, you'll love the college. Pretty much everyone cares about their grades, but, unlike some reviews I have read, it is not an "academic boot camp" by any means. Don't expect to find huge frat parties like you see in the movies; the frats are mostly for freshmen and usually dry unless you know a brother with whom you can pregame. After freshmen year, parties are normally centered around off-campus houses and dormrooms/on-campus apartments. Again, don't expect to find anything too crazy. It's more of a chill party scene. People are friendly, if a little quirky, and if you try to like the place, you will.
