Oberlin was a great school for me—the smaller size in particular was a good thing. It's a good place for you if you are interested in things and like to discover on your own, not so good if you aren't curious; Oberlin students tend to be highly self-directed. The academic atmosphere is intense and serious, but in a fun way—the students tend to enjoy being challenged to grow in their thinking (not in the sense that they like having their values challenged, though). It's a great place for anyone who likes a lot of different subjects or is willing to approach their education in both a wide-ranging and in-depth manner.
