Major: English (This Major's Salary over time)
I find that my friends that are biology or business majors have a much greater course load and more difficulty earning high grades. However, I also find that the English professors are incredibly helpful and inspiring teachers. I have found all of my English professors appreciate out-of-the-box ideas and creativity. I am also involved in the Honors Program at UT and find that the Honors classes are at the level of difficulty that all the classes at the university should be. I have also learned the most in these classes. As far as school spirit-there is none. Sporting events consistently have low attendance. There are a variety of clubs, and many people take great interest in them. I think University of Tampa is definitely a school that "makes or breaks" students. It is easy to forget about classes and studying. Many students are apathetic. However, there are many intelligent students here-they are just too busy having a good time to show it. I have had very stimulating conversations about politics, literature, and other topics with students that are on the brink of failing out. While I would attend a different university if given the chance, I still am not actively pursuing any idea of transferring. I can't think of any other school I would go to honestly.
