I agree with the previous two posts.  Stephens should not even be up and running.  The programs are non existent.  I am transferring schools (thank God) because 1.) the academics suck 2.) the social scene is TERRIBLE.  Stephens is in a superficial fashion/film/theatre/dance world of its own.  During my freshman year at Stephens, hurricane Katrina hit.  I, along with a lot of the other girls, had absolutely no idea how severe the damage was because the dorms don't get cable or any kind of reception and our professors or other students didn't even talk about katrina.  They don't care about world or national issues AT ALL.  If you want a social life, don't come here.  Many of the the girls live close to home so they often go home on the weekends.  If you live far away, you will be VERY lonely on the weekends.  The school doesn't do anything to help the girls meet guys, so if you are single coming into stephens don't expect to have a boyfriend at all OR any kind of male contact for that matter.  Although stephens is located next to Mizzou, a HUGE co-ed university, don't let the admissions office fool you into believing that you will make friends from there.  Mizzou students, especially the girls, HATE stephens students.  Don't waste your money, but most of all don't waste your time at stephens.
