Major: Civil Engineering (This Major's Salary over time)
Univerity of Maryland is a large, large university. Its easy to get lost among the large classes, and large amounts of freedom, especially your freshman year. However, as most people will say, college is what you make of it. By getting involved in something you're interested in it was very easy for me to make a huge campus into a small one. what also helped me to establish some friendships, even before i came in as a freshman, was to do some pre-college programs—eg TENTS, RISE, orentation, GEMS camp. Certainly however, making friends in classes and on your hall was not only easy, it was almost inevitable.I love UMCP, and wouldn't trade the school experience for many other schools. There's always a place to go, thing to do, or people to hang with, no matter what your interest.
