May i know about the Indian students in old westbury campus? Are there any indian students? |
Are there any Indian students in the Vancouver campus? How is the quality of education at NYIT, Canada? |
I assume you mean india indians not native americans. I attended NYIT at both Old Westbury & NYC campus at the graduate level. I met more indian students at the NYC campus than Old Westbury. There is a good size indian populatio there though |
Are there indian students in nyit vancouver campus? In MS-INCS |

There are a ton of Indian students at the NYIT Vancouver campus - I'd even say they comprise a good 80% of the student body. This is true across all programs, whether it be MBA, INCS, or Energy Management |
Major: Electrical Engineering (This Major's Salary over time)
I'm a mature-age student going back to school to meet promotion requirements at my current job. I selected NYIT primarily because it is close to my workplace, and because my employer is paying for it. There are probably better value-for-money options for an electrical engineering degree in the LI area; Stonybrook (SUNY), for one. NYIT is a private school and concomitantly expensive. My experience of the academics thus far is that the curriculum includes everything you'd expect, but the marking policies are very lenient, particularly in the mathematics department. If you apply merely a reasonable amount of effort, it is quite difficult to get less than an A grade in these courses.NYIT is apparently best known as a feeder school for some kind of quasi-medical program (not MD, but some second echelon type of qualification) from NYCOM.The surrounding area of Long Island is infested by princesses and generally obnoxious rich kids of a caliber that must be seen to be believed. About 25% of the student body is comprised of these sorts of people. Unless you're one of them, avoid them. If your parents didn't get you a unicorn for your 9th birthday and a Lamborghini for your high school graduation, you simply won't fit into their cliques. Happily it is possible to go from dawn to dusk and not have to deal with these people (except perhaps when they back their Hummer H3 into your Ford Escort in the parking lot).NOTE! I rated faculty as being helpful and friendly. They are. However, these comments DO NOT APPLY to the administration staff. The second you step into the admin office or deal with admissions or the bursar via email or telephone, you will be sucked into a vortex of bureaucratic busywork. Additionally, the honors program is administered by a predatory hard-sell staff better suited to a telemarketing boiler room.
