I'm going to be a 2nd year next year, and I'm originally from the east coast. My experience has been great my first year being involved. The key is probably to find out the clubs, jobs, and people you hang out with. Not much will come to you, so you need to go out and explore yourself. A lot of people say there is no social life, but with only 1 year at the college, the dorm life has been great with activities, I play intrumural sports every quarter as well as party at times and hang out in the city at times, so there is more than enough social life.
