The schools seems to care more about making money off the football games than fixing departments that can't function, like the math department. Many students find themselves repeating calculus courses or simply taking the class at another school b/c the program is terrible. It's not uncommon to see a kid having repeated the class 2 or 3 times. But, generally, it's easy to get by in this school. Although, if your in engineering, in science, or in certain buisness departments, you'll be challenged. Anything else is a breeze. Naturally, you have to work for A's, but you don't have to work for a C at all…Or in some cases, a B. Long story short, you can do well by just knowing how a class tends to run…especially in lower level sophmore and freshmen classes. The student body is generally more concerned about drinking and partying, that is, if they arn't Crusading for Christ. There are very few active organizations. There is NO where to study on the weekends, including Fridays. Libraries close at either 5, 6, or 7, depending on what campus you're on. Some dorms have study halls that you can study in, but that's only if someone isn't holding an all night poker-fest. If you don't live in a dorm, you don't have easy access to them after a certain time of night. If your a serious student that needs s quiet place to study late on some weekends, this isn't the place for you. It's reaaaaaaaaaally hit or miss in the dorms and in apartments around town. The Evansdale campus is much quieter than Downtown, though. Unforunatly, it isn't unusual to hear a party going on downstairs on both weekends and weeknights.Advisors are useless. I've had one lie to me, and another give me wrong info a couple times.Oh, and ladies, don't go to a Gyno at Student Health. They won't find your cervix.I've had mostly good professors, even in the lower level classes. Grad students were good, too. Getting help from a prof or TA wasn't difficult either. In most cases, they were interested in talking to you and making sure you did well in their class.
