Watkins is in a position of growth and change. There's an enthusiasm in the student body to make the school a very prominant art school both locally and beyond. On the basic level (classes, instructors and student relationships) there's only minor flaws. WCAD is a great environment to learn, grow and develop creatively. Most instructors teach more than the basics and emphasize that it's not about a grade but about learning the process and developing your talents. Administratively there isn't a lot of interaction but the student government is actively developing ways to change that and bridge the disconnection. Watkins College of Art & Design is the right choice to make if you're an artist.
