Boston University honestly gives every individual every opportunity to succeed. I've just started SMG, and it is INTENSE. The workload is tremendous; the "team" focus places alot of pressure on one's ability to work with people. Im already spending 8 to 10 hours a week with my team and its only the third week of school. However, the experience is already showing its usefulness. For being what is normally perceived as a "fluffy" degree, SMG anything but that. Everything that ive done has had a purpose. The professors are a lot of fun and enertaining. Also I would recommend trying to get onto one of the specialty floors, especially the SMG floor. Im on it and I'm having an absolute blast.

To really sum things up:

Boston U is a place that gives you Every opportunity to excel both intellectually AND socially.

Its in a very unique area, right on Commonwealth actually in the city of Boston. The "T" runs right through BU, and makes travel very simple. Resources are everywhere.

I will say that BU is definitely a large institution; there is a sense that you are almost overlooked. If you're motivated and ambitious, BU is an excellent place to go to school. If you're more timid and shy, a smaller school might be a better fit. But overall, I am Extremely satisfied with my decision to come here.

Plus, BU is very expensive; almost everyone here is at least upper middle class. So if thats a problem, then I would possiby look else where. From what ive heard, alot of people have been shafted with financial aid. Personally, i was not. So basically if they want you here they'll give you the money for you to come. So if you're a prospective student, I would definitely give BU a look.

SMG and COM specifically are quite good. Anyhow good luck.
