This school is the flagship school of Maine and offers many different majors. It's rural setting and large campus offers many activities. The college in located in central Maine, so there is very little culture. Hockey games and football games are fun and offer alternatives to drinking(enless you go crunked already). This school social life is mostly based around beer and smoking. There are alternatives like comedians and music in the union, but for he most part your at a fraternity or someones apartment off campus drinking. There are a lot of people from Maine, which gives the school it's New England flavor, but that same New England culture can be very close minded and non diverse. The biggest complaint for this school is lack of job opportunity and internships. If you love biking, kyaking, or anything outdoors and want a large school (in the middle of Maine), than this school is for you.
