I took a year worth of classes at Ivy Tech in Valpo, as dual credit high school classes my Junior year. I went in not expecting much at all (community colleges have a bad reputation in the area), and really enjoyed my year there! The teachers were great, and I found the students to be really friendly. The big downside to Ivy Tech, as with most community colleges is a large lack of student activities… although Ivy Tech did try to begin several student groups. Although I probably wouldn't want to only attend community college, I had a great experience here!
