I think IUPUI provides students with more af a "real world" environment than a traditional college. The diversity of the student body (age, nationality, socio-economic background, etc.) allows an IUPUI student to interract with more types of people that one would expect from a college within 15 miles of nothing but cornfields in any direction. Also, the students at IUPUI have more committments outside of school than a traditional student (jobs, children, etc.) which, in my opinion, raises the level of seriousness in and out of the classroom. In my opinion, most of the students at IUPUI carry themselves more professionally than traditional students because of the more professional environment at IUPUI.
