I love Susquehanna University. I'm from a small town in southern Maryland, and wanted a college not much bigger than my high school. I wanted individual attention in my classes with friendly professors and valuable courses. While Susquehanna's overall price (tution, room and board, etc) is pretty pricey, I must say that it's, in my opinion, most definitely worth it. I applied Early Decision I after visiting 11 other schools, with Susquehanna being the second to last school that I visited. Specifically, these schools were Mt. St. Mary's College, St. Mary's College, University of Mary Washington, Loyola College in Maryland, Allegheny College, Juniata College, and I can't even remember the rest at the moment! There ARE rumors that Susquehanna is very close minded and not very diverse, but I truly believe your college experience is what you make of it. I have plenty of friends of different ethnic backgrounds than mine, as well as friends ranging from very conservative to very liberal views. There have been a number of websites created for the sole purpose of listing the "bad" points of Susquehanna, and while I read through these sites before applying here, I still believe they are the opinion of those that are close-minded themselves. There are tons and tons of clubs available for students to join and activities somewhere everynight. Most professors are very open and easy to talk to, and always willing to help you with anything from homework to scheduling advice. I truly love it here and wouldn't trade my experiences here for anything.
