It's a decent school, it has good well-intentioned professors but they are financially strapped, which limits their abilities. It should start developping academic programs and stop trying to win grants and funding to promote the basketball team. If they start rebuilding the academic aspect, the school would be better off. The school's reputation is very good for getting into grad/law school and corporate business-type jobs, but elsewhere it doesn't carry quite as much weight.Overall though, I'd say it's a decent school. I'd recommend it for the price (from what i hear from other SUNY students it's far better than any other SUNY school), but if the price is not an issue, go to NYU or Cornell.
