Don't go to Valpo. The school is nothing like they make it out to be. Being less than an hour away from chicago you would think that is you could not find enought to do on campus you could leave, wrong freshman dont have cars. You are trapped i what they make out to be the typical college town, but the surrounding area is very boring. Then if you want to stay on campus to have fun you better make your own because the facilites are terrible. take the weight room for example we had a better gym at my high school (public w/ about 500 students)

if you have any ideas of partying in college, i hope your idea of a party does not include alcohol, if it does start bracing yourself for a night in jail. thats right rather than just reciving a citation from the police for your first alcohol related offence they take you to the county jail and lock you up. if you cant come up with the $300 bond have fun in there until you can. and dont think you wont be caught, you will eventually. there was on kid this year that was seen stumbling out of a the back seat of his car, he had not driven home mind you, so the police ran the plates got his address, came up to his room, and arrested him. it has gotten bad enough that i am afraid to goto the police in fear of by doing so i will get myself in trouble, and that is not something a student should have to worry about. nothing about the school is the way they advertise it and it is a terrible college experiance. i feel by going here this year my freshman year was stolen from me and cost my parents 30,000 in the process
