U of L is such a waste of a university. So many strong points exist to make it a superfluous school, but the school is not concerned with being "a school." Instead the administration seems to think that having a first-rate athletics program will give them a strong name and therefore make it an excellent school. It's rather unfortunate that U of L spends so much money and effort on its athletics department: if they actually put half of the money into their academic units, programs for regular students (not premier athletes), campus maintanence and rennovation, the class environments and teaching staff would be much more conducive to learning, and students could enjoy a quality education and for a lower tuition cost. U of L is more concerned about a name and being the place to go for a workout, not an education. It has so many potentials to be such an excellent school: all on-line tuition payments, financial aid, and more; mixed in-person and Internet classes; high-speed Internet for every dorm room; and so much more, but the funding for talented instructors, adding more (not necessarily better) equipment to the library to support the mass of students, rennovating antiquidated buildings and many other things gets sent into the pockets of the handful of athletic department coaches that only work about three-full months of the year. Avoid this school so long as their goal is a premier athletics department, not educational quality. You might actually find a more informative school and for less money by looking elsewhere.
