I love NU: it really is an amazing opportunity. Their co-op program is fantastic, and I feel that as a CS major, due to my experience with co-op, I will have just as good a shot (if not better) at a job than someone from MIT or CMU.

The campus is fantastic: you have a campus, but you're also IN Boston. The T (subway) takes you virtually anywhere in the city, and there are two stops on the NU campus alone. You can also walk to a number of interesting places nearby.

The sole problem I have encountered is the Honors program. It is absolutely worthless. If you get into it, you get the nicest Freshman housing (better than most upperclassmen, even), so it's definitely worth it. However, unless you're a liberal arts major, you will find virtually no Honors classes in your major or field. There are also very few Honors classes, and it becomes very difficult to schedule them, even if you find ones you're interested in. And even at that point, the Honors classes don't teach you any more than a regular class; they're generally just graded harder.

However, with that one exception, I have found NU to be amazing, and the co-op program is fantastic. Highly recommended.
